    Q:
How do you remove and install Headlight Switch and Wiper Switch in a Subaru Outback? Posted by Customer
    A:
Headlight/turn signal switch, First disconnect the cable from the battery's negative terminal. Next, remove the lower cover for the instrument panel as well as both upper and lower steering column covers. Press down on the release tab to separate it from its electrical connector and then finally remove wires that are still attached to it. After this, screws that fasten them in place are removed thus removing these switches too; when installing they must be returned back as in their initial order. Combination base switch assembly, Start with first step of disconnecting the cable which is from a negative terminal of a battery. The second task involves removing the steering wheel while third one is about taking off the upper and lower steering column covers. Thereafter, you should unplug two electric connectors from windshield wiper/washer switch one after another as well as headlight/turn signal switch respectively. And then Another wire will have to be removed called Clockspring and then pop out combination base switch mounting screw in order remove switch itself out of its position. Final step is installation which goes back what was done during removal process Windshield wiper/washer switch, To begin with, unfasten battery's negative cable. Then pull out instrument panel lower cover and also take away upper plus lower steering column covers from their places. Lower tabs that hold windscreen washing mechanism onto its place before unplugging any cables that link this device to power supply at a car's front part called Windshield wiper/washer switch; hence, this leads to removal since there are a couple of screws securing it on its mountings points making it looser or less stable somehow so that you can detach it by unscrewing all-around but avoid confusion with putting things together again based on reverse side while you install equipment including like such kind of devices looking same where necessary which could be attached here just at once although need time being connected well instead repeating yourself than that-Installation is the reverse of removal.
