On average after 3000 miles or three months, the doors, the hoods and the trunk should be lubricated with a few drops of light oil or lock lubricant on the hinges and latches assemblies. Also, the door latch strikers were recommended to be greased in order to reduce the amount of wear and to ensure free movement across the access surfaces.
