How Do I Remove and Install an Alternator on Subaru Impreza?

To replace the alternator, disconnect the cable, remove the drivebelt cover and the alternator drivebelt, and disconnect the battery cable and the electrical connector from the alternator by lifting the cover and removing the nut to disconnect the battery cable from the B+ terminal, then depressing the release tab and disconnecting the electrical connector from the alternator, remove the adjustment and pivot bolts and detach the alternator. Installation is the reverse order of the removal.
